Senior Analyst / Team Lead – Equity Research

Education: MBA/MS from a Tier 1/2 b-school with a consistent academic record
Job Description
- Clear thinker with an independent mind and an ability to synthesize financial, operational and economic information into a well-integrated research model with scope to customize for different companies/industries
- Strong capabilities in financial modeling and Valuation (DCF, relative valuation, comparable company analysis, M&A modeling)
- Write end-to-end reports related to company initiation, sector analysis, event-driven commentaries and thematic white papers
- Unlike conventional passive research roles, this position will involve extensive external communication with the client and management teams of covered companies.
- Build and institutionalize best practices/models/templates geared towards providing cutting edge research at par with the best in the world.
- Provide ad-hoc support to sales and marketing team on qualifying opportunities with detailed intelligence and research collateral
- Client relationship management skills focused towards growing the project/account
- Scope definition and effort estimation for research projects
- Lead a team of 4-6 analysts. Ability to balance delegation and hands-on ownership of research in a team environment and ensure research coherence across multiple analysts.
- Ensure profitability of the project by tracking key operational metrics
